New project, new release

After ten years of producing ambient music, I thought it was time to enter a new area. So for the past year I have taken the step to build up a hardware setup, and start up a new project focusing on dub techno production. It’s been a road paved with new knowledge and investments. And it has been a journey filled with joy and creativity, and there is still so much to explore and learn.

Finally the first collection of re:fraction recordings is gathered and finalized into one album. Every track is arranged and recorded live into one stereo channel.

Now it’s time to move on, I’ve invested much time this last year in my new project RE:FRACTION, a new dub techno project completely based on hardware. I have spent this year learning hardware sequencers, analog mixing and sound routing. And pursued a dream of getting into a genre I’ve been into for the last ten years.

There’s a release in the making with my new project and I have a YouTube channel where you can explore my latest journey. Vist my YouTube channel here.

It’s time to round things off

The 19th release from Fähund is here and it has been almost ten years since the first release and it’s time to round things off. And what started out as a project exploring the possibilities to create my own music, with a limited set up, has grown and I have moved on.

So from creating DAW based music I have moved to explore the world of producing outside a DAW with hardware. So this is the last series of Fähund releases that will be released until I can find new ways to keep this project creatively inspiring. I’m sure I will get back to this in time, but then in a new way, and with a new set of tools.

I have a complete new project that I’m totally focusing on right now, and more info on that in the next and final release.

Loneliness – Part Two

“Indifferent the finches sing, Unheeding roll the lorries past: What misery will this year bring. Now spring is in the air at last? For, sure as blackthorn bursts to snow, Cancer in some of us will grow, The tasteful crematorium door. Shuts out for some the furnace roar; But church-bells open on the blast Our loneliness, so long and vast.”

Sound-driven society are pleased to present the “Loneliness” series.

Thank you all so very much, who have supported our work so far. And thank you all for listening.

Loneliness – Part One

“The last year’s leaves are on the beech: The twigs are black; the cold is dry; To deeps beyond the deepest reach. The Easter bells enlarge the sky. O ordered metal clatter-clang! Is yours the song the angels sang? You fill my heart with joy and grief – Belief! Belief! And unbelief… And, though you tell me I shall die, You say not how or when or why.”

Sound-driven society are pleased to present the “Loneliness” series.

Thank you all so very much, who have supported our work so far. And thank you all for listening.

Prayer At Sunrise – Part Two

“O greater Maker of this Thy great sun, Give me the strength this one day’s race to run, Fill me with light, fill me with sun-like strength, Fill me with joy to rob the day its length. Light from within, light that will outward shine, Strength to make strong some weaker heart than mine, Joy to make glad each soul that feels its touch; Great Father of the sun, I ask this much.”

Sound-driven society are pleased to present the last part in the “Prayer At Sunrise” series.
Thank you for listening.

Northern Light by Fähund, part two

Sound-driven society is back with two new releases from FÄHUND, celebrating the spring and summer. Both parts contain a more soft and light sound, were darkness has been put aside and the sun has arrived to shine with rays off light.

This is a celebration to long summer days. With light that seems to never give up, warmth that heats the skin and smell like joy. For this is the season when everything turns green and bloom. This trip starts in a calm sea of light. Where soft waves of sounds takes you slowly through the first part. The second part starts with calm ray of light that filters through the clouds. And as the high tunes slowly rises, the swirling low drones transport you to a floating state. In the end the sun reveals it true glory, and transforms everything to a shower of light. Light that blinds the eyes, and disappears in a colorful haze.

Harvest songs by Fähund, part two

Sound-driven society presents the final part in the Harvest songs series that illustrate and hail the advent of autumn. This final part includes the typical progressive wave of repeating sequences which has come to profound the arrangements crafted by Fähund.

This release as the previous has a more amplified processed style, with a warmer and mellow sound. They also include an idea on how to use as few sounds and channels as possible, but at the same time create a wall of sounds with a minimal set of tools. Every sound and loop is carefully placed and tuned to paint landscapes and mindsets, and to craft a harmful progressive slow music experience.

The winter lake that lays waiting for the early days ending

Sound-driven society proudly presents the last  out of two releases by Fähund, with the a common ode to the lake and the waters. This release is an hymn to the winter lake that lays waiting for the early days ending.

” I find myself wandering away from the shore, further out into the open cold misty landscape. Dark tree lines stretches and frames the frosty mirror, black depths reveals under my feet as gray shades covered with cracks and bruises. The cold wind draws in from the north, sweeping the white powder that covers the surface in silence. Small white hills forms as waves in sections, and the presence of a fox leads across to the end. All I can hear is the sound of the harsh wind as the emptiness surrounds my consciousness with a cold whispering touch.”
